It was just another day for pianist Julien Cohen as he played for passers-by in a shop. No one was paying that much attention to him as they rushed past to carry on with their day. As a young girl approached him, however, little did Julien realize that his day was about to get a whole lot better, resulting in a viral performance that millions have since watched online.

The young girl was called Victoria Nicole, and she asked shyly if he knew how to play the Adele song ‘Set Fire to the Rain’. It was when Julien started playing the song, however, that the real shock came, with Victoria unleashing a vocal performance that left passers-by with their jaws on the floor and that many fans have even said is worthy of Adele herself.
Perhaps the most shocking thing about Victoria’s vocals during the performance was the fact they sounded like they should be coming from an adult, not a young child. Consequently, it is little surprise that a crowd soon started to gather around her and Julien, with many surely unable to believe that the vocals they were hearing were coming from someone so young.
Things start to make sense, however, when you learn that this was not Victoria’s first time singing in public. In fact, as some Music Man readers may already know, this young girl had already competed in the kids’ version of both the singing competition The Voice and the Eurovision Song Contest. You can watch one of her live performances for the latter below.
Despite the fact she is a seasoned performer, however, it is still absolutely magical to see the video of Victoria approaching Julien as he plays piano in a shop, asking to sing with him, and then delivering a performance that leaves many shoppers stunned at the talents of this young girl. I don’t know about you, Music Man readers, but this is one video that I will be going back to again and again!
Victoria Nicole is certainly one to watch — her astonishing, adult-sounding voice turned a quiet shop performance into a viral moment, with pianist Julien Cohen by her side. Discover more via the useful links below this paragraph.
