Bradley Walsh’s show saw players Julie, Gareth and Pamela make it into the Final Chase to face Mark Labbett.

The Chase contestants had plenty to play for in the prize pot, which they had built to a whopping £47,000.

However, they hit a huge stumbling block when ITV presenter Bradley asked one question to The Beast.

The 57-year-old questioned: “Cinderella is a type of what vegetable?”

Mark replied: “Potato.”

Although, he was incorrect and so the question was then passed on to the team.

After some discussion, the players then delivered their answer, which was exactly what Mark had said.

Those watching at home couldn’t believe the team had failed in pushing the Chaser back a point by repeating the same wrong answer, and took to Twitter to vent.

“Can’t believe these people #TheChase,” one declared.

While another exclaimed: “Potato? POTATO? You think the wrong answer the Beast just said is going to be right for you? IDIOTS! #TheChase.”

“Well that’s embarrassing #TheChase potato,” a third stated.

“Did they just do that? Give the same wrong answer? #thechase,” a viewer questioned.

The mishap cost the team, who ultimately ended up losing to Mark and walked away empty handed.

Yesterday, viewers were enraged for a different reason after Bradley refused to accept an answer.

Bradley asked: “Who played the title role in the film George of the Jungle?”

Jo then supplied the answer “Brendan Fraser”, but it was disallowed.

While Brendan Fraser was the right actor, Jo’s pronunciation of Fraser as “Frasier” saw Bradley deem her reply as incorrect.

However, those watching at home thought this turn of events was unfair, as one vented: “Come on, they have to accept Brendan Frasier people have said worse and got a correct answer #TheChase #gangofchase.”

“Absolutely ridiculous not giving her that Brendan Fraser answer #thechase,” another moaned.
