Outer Banks’ on-screen and once-off-screen sweethearts Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline sparked rumors they may have gotten back together in real life this weekend. The couple’s breakup was reported earlier this month; Stokes and Cline dated for a year before ending things, according to People. But now, E! reports that the two are fine spending time together, at the very least. They spent their Thanksgiving weekend in Atlanta, and photos and video came out of their time together.

Cline and Stokes appeared alongside each other in a photo they took with a fan, Leonard Cole, that Cole posted on his Instagram on Nov. 28. “Just ran into my favorite OBX couple … John B and Sarah (Maddie and Chase) Thanks for makin my night! So cool!” he captioned the shot.

In early November, multiple sources spoke to People about Stokes and Cline’s split.

“Madelyn and Chase are no longer together,” one insider said. “They were trying to work things out privately but broke up a couple of months ago.”

A second source said at the time, “They are definitely broken up.” Neither Stokes nor Cline addressed the breakup on their social media.

In a February 2021 interview with Us Weekly, Stokes talked about why he and Cline started dating after they filmed season one of Outer Banks.

“At that point in time, we were so anxious about the show and so nervous about constantly screwing up. I think we were all under this sort of strange umbrella of, like, ‘Dear God, we got an opportunity. Let’s not screw it up!’ So, it was just always work-oriented—really until the day we wrapped,” Stokes said. “It wasn’t until after that until we started to kind of get into the lockdown where we were like, ‘Is there something here or am I crazy?’ That’s sort of where it bloomed from there. I think we were just so invested in the work.”

Thanks to life for allowing me to be a contemporary of all these guys… All I can say is… I can’t believe this was over 27 years ago!!!?!? The heat of the Phoenix night still lives in my bones. The first chord of “The Wanton Song” felt like thunder cracking open the sky. Page stood like a sorcerer at his altar, conjuring riffs that defied age. Plant’s voice didn’t reach back — it reached through, into something timeless. We weren’t just watching legends — we were inside a living myth. The strings of “No Quarter” shimmered like a mirage — real, yet unreachable. And when “Kashmir” hit, the air thickened, the moment froze. How do you explain that kind of power? You don’t. You feel it. Twenty-seven years later, I close my eyes… and I’m right back there, front row, forever changed.

It recalls me a scene from the film Don’t Look Back, shot in 1965, where Dylan is looking at the electric guitars in a shop window and he makes a quip about joining the Rolling Stones. But this 1998 night in Argentina was no joke — it was the real deal, a live collision of two rock titans at Stadium River Plate. Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones, legends in their own right, sharing the stage and rewriting history with every chord. The energy was electric, the crowd breathless, as iconic voices and timeless riffs blended into something unforgettable. Was this the moment when the playful tease from decades ago turned into a powerful alliance? Or was it something even deeper, a rare glimpse into the restless spirit of rock ’n’ roll itself? Fans who were there still speak in hushed tones, caught between awe and disbelief. The magic of that night lingers — and the questions remain.

Merle Haggard was on his way to a concert in 2016 when fate intervened—he tragically passed away in transit, on his 79th birthday. But the show he never made it to was not canceled. Instead, his four sons—Ben, Noel, Marty, and Scott—took the stage with Kris Kristofferson and The Strangers, turning grief into tribute. They sang their father’s songs with trembling voices, carrying his legacy note by note.
