The Wheel fans rage as contestants AND celebs fumble music questions
The Wheel viewers rage ‘I’m so mad!’ as contestants AND celebs fumble music questions – but can YOU answer them correctly?
Viewers of The Wheel were left raging as contestants and celebrities fumbled music questions.
The opening episode of the gameshow’s sixth series, returned to screens on Saturday (October 25), but fans have already been left ‘so mad.’
While comedian Katherine Ryan and a contestant named Hannah struggled to answer a question in the musicals category, Joe Marler also got stuck on a music question.
Katherine and Joe joined the likes of former footballer Jill Scott, Cheaters star Susan Wokoma, presenter Roman Kemp and actor Layton Williams on the show.
Contestant Hannah had reached a prize pot of £33,000 when she fumbled her next question.
Layton is known for his roles on stage shows including Everybody Loves Jaime and Billy Elliott: The Musical, but unfortunately The Wheel landed on Katherine.

While comedian Katherine Ryan and a contestant named Hannah struggled to answer a question in the musicals category, Joe Marler also got stuck on a music question
The question was: ‘Eddie Redmayne, Billy Porter, and Alan Cumming have all portrayed which of these characters in the West End?
‘EmCee from Cabaret, Miss Hannigan from Annie, Phantom from The Phantom of the Opera, or Charlie Price from Kinky Boots.’
Katherine admitted: ‘Ok, so this is so embarrassing, I don’t know the answer but I think that we can use deduction to get pretty close.
‘I’m confident they have not played Miss Hannigan. My initial instinct was because they’re a bit more similar, maybe Cabaret or Kinky Boots.’
Hannah chose Kinky Boots, but sadly it was incorrect as all the actors had played EmCee in Cabaret.
Elsewhere, Joe landed a question about the Sugababes, which he struggled to answer for a contestant named Sally.
Michael asked: ‘Joe, you’re a big fan of pop music from the noughties, aren’t you?’
Joe replied: ‘Yes. Sally, I want to do this for you.’

When asked who the Sugababes line-up was when they released Freak Like Me in 2002, the pair went back and forth before Joe managed to pull it out the bag with Mutya, Keisha and Heidi.
Sharing their thoughts on X, fans of the show wrote: ‘Why don’t the really smart celebrities on The Wheel get every question wrong?
‘That way the player can choose them at the end and go for the most money. Selfish that is’;
‘Not sure Joe Marler should release an album of music anytime soon’;
Another exclaimed: ‘I’m so f***ing mad!’
Elsewhere, Joe left Michael blushing when the former rugby ace offered to strip for the comedian.
The retired professional rugby union player, who has been appearing in the hit series Celebrity Traitors in recent weeks, has made his return to the fellow BBC gameshow.
He previously appeared as a celebrity panellist alongside host Michael, 49, in 2021 and 2023, but in the height of his Traitors popularity, will be back for more this week.

But it appears Michael might get more than he bargained for with the rugby player, as an exclusive first look clip sees the sportsman offering to take his clothes off when he’s quizzed about his stand-out matching tracksuit.
Grabbing host Michael’s attention with the brightly coloured two-piece, the comedian admits in the first look clip: ‘You’ve caught my attention, I love what you’re wearing.’
‘Is it an all in one?’ Michael asks, to which a straight-faced Joe hits back: ‘No, I can take the top off if you want, or I can take off the bottoms.’
Asking whether or not the white, orange and brown garb was an all-in-one style ‘boiler suit’, Joe continued: ‘No, no, it’s a two piece.’
And issuing a savage takedown, Michael then comments: ‘For me it looks like a baby grow – it looks like you’re a big beared baby.’
Unimpressed, Joe hits back: ‘Right, OK, I love you inviting me back on this show because you always make me feel so welcome.’
He leaves Michael squirming as he continues: ‘Would you like to cradle me? Cradle me in your bosom, now.’
